Hyderabad (India), 17th October, 2012: Veooz.com, a free online platform that searches and analyzes the user conversations from different social media networks like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and Blogs has been launched today. The last decade saw a huge surge in the use of social media, generating massive amount of information, opinions, and reviews making it hard to track the social conversations, live trends and insights. Fortunately, now there is a solution.
Veooz, pronounced as views, is a new innovative platform that aggregates and analyzes the buzz around your favorite topics from popular social media networks and puts it all in one place.
The tool presents the pulse of social conversations in the form of Veooz Live Sentiment. It considers all the opinionated posts and offers a real-time measure of social sentiment on a given topic. A Veooz Live Sentiment of +70% means 70% of the opinions are positive. Similarly, if more than 50% of opinions are negative, then a negative rating will be displayed by Veooz.

The platform has been developed by SETU Software Systems, an Indian startup, following several years of research into semantic search and sentiment analysis. The tool has already analyzed user conversations on over 500 million topics and boasts a processing rate of 100 million views a day.

SETU Software Systems (P) Ltd., a company incubated in IIIT-Hyderabad, today announced the appointment of Srini Koppolu as its Chairman. Srini is the former Corporate Vice-President and Managing Director of Microsoft India Development Center. After a 21 year stint with Microsoft, Srini left the company a year back to pursue his dream of contributing to the startup ecosystem and to education in India.
Founded in 2008, SETU is a technology company with strong research foundation, primarily focused in the areas of search and information access technologies using text and natural language processing. Dr. Prasad Pingali and Prof. Vasudeva Varma, research professors at IIIT-Hyderabad, set up the company with the vision of bridging information access barriers using technology.
